About the artist

My Background

I was born in the coastal region of New England. Between the salt marshes and the rocky shore, I spent my childhood learning all about the wonders and beauty of nature. When I was not playing in the forest, my time was spent drawing. From a young age, I have demonstrated significant interest and talent in artistry. Despite this inclination towards the arts, I spent my younger years focused on academics, an area in which I was also gifted. Achieving excellent scores and a nigh perfect GPA, I then went on to study architecture and engineering in university. Throughout my studies, I just could not ignore my desire to paint any longer and decided to become a painter. I self-studied for a while before bringing my studies to Europe, where I studied at an art school in the way of the old masters.

My Inspiration

My work can be described in many words, but the two that are the most apt are: classical realism. Classical realism is a style of art, that is rather different from its contemporary counterpart. It is realism done in the classical manner, in which high value is placed upon technical skill, beauty, and composition. In my work, all three of these attributes are clearly visible and are definitive of my work.
